Maytag Washing Machine Making Loud Noise
Biography and Jean-Pierre
Duffour
Duffour Jean-Pierre was born December 18, 1945 in Aix-en-Provence and in a small village in the Gers. Soon he asked for and obtained citizenship Gers. At that time his name is Iggy Pop and works with his aunt to accompany them in their pre cows and feed the chickens, guinea fowl, rabbits or pigs that thrive in the region. After schooling at which he excels in all materials, especially the drawing to which he gives all the space in his notebooks while reserve margin over the math or physics, he earned his baccalaureate at the French School of Rome. All because of a history of underground originally scheduled stop in Paris but was diverted by the Coriolis force. Walked back to Paris, he became France champion tennis team. He starts work in earnest in a preparatory school of art Met Penninghen.
He hesitates then sharply between three careers: Formula 1 driver (but it has already struggling to control a R5, better is dropped), rock singer (but he forgot his guitar in Rome), he leaves her with more than drawing. Unfortunately, he passes the examination for the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs, where he will get bored and messing around for five years. His diploma (acquired in a somewhat questionable) in his pocket, he became an illustrator for youth and for ad agencies populated by crooks and it's not very funny, especially that someone pointed out that the name Iggy Pop is already taken. Jean-Pierre Duffour decides to adopt the pseudonym of Jean-Pierre Duffour is more comfortable for everyone.
Then everything follows: After painting some covers books of science fiction, drew illustrations and not too bad for the School of Leisure, he worked as a handyman, except household Gilou editions, and he published his first album, "Fonstres Mous. Then he met Lewis Trondheim and they decide to make a comic book together, "Central Station". Our merry prankster also published short stories for the Japanese magazine "Morning" (Kodansha) and the journal "Rabbit" (published by the "Association"), some with Loo Hui Phang. There followed
albums for the Association and the Rackham editions in particular, move in silence or illustrations cutesy gimmicks that is parallel in order to eat a little. After the workshop Nawak where he met other artists, he opted for the Atelier des Vosges, where he fed well with Christophe Blain, Gwen de Bonneval and Marjane Satrapi, with whom he made an album for children. It tries a little later the workshop of pool but finally he prefers to work alone, especially since the large size does not fit on one end of the table of thirty centimeters. While continuing his adventures with comic book author, he décarcasse to exhibitions of drawings but no pictures or original drawings already published in books. The cartoons, first made for albums by D. Kelvin, are gradually their autonomy.
Meanwhile Jean-Pierre married five times, for a relatively low efficiency of two children. If there is not much there at least quality. A question remains: Where will he lead?? Time will come what may.
